echOpen v3.0: Accurate Measurements on Still Images and Bladder Scanner AI
At echOpen, every new version of the mobile app is designed with a clear goal in mind: to make ultrasound more accessible, more seamless, and more useful in everyday clinical practice.
Version 3.0 ofechOpen introduces, among other features, the ability to take precise measurements on a still image. This update replaces the previous distance measurement tool and provides more accurate information, directly integrated into the examination workflow.
This update also includes the Bladder Scanner AI feature, which will undergo specific testing with select users in the coming weeks.
Accurate measurements right in the app
With this new version, you can now measure a distance directly within the app, using a still ultrasound image.
Simply freeze the image, place a segment between two points of interest, and then manually adjust its position if necessary. The measured distance is displayed directly on the screen to facilitate the analysis, documentation, and review of your consultations.
What this development makes possible
- Take an accurate measurement on a still ultrasound image.
- Replace the old distance-measuring tool with a more reliable one.
- Make it easier to document certain observations during or after the exam.
- To facilitate review, follow-up, and communication among healthcare professionals.
Bladder Scanner AI: A feature available only to certain users
Version 3.0 also includes Bladder Scanner AI, a new feature designed to assist in estimating bladder volume based on ultrasound images.
This feature guides the user through acquiring the necessary views and provides assistance with positioning the measurement axes. The user retains control at all times: they can verify, adjust, and confirm the axes before obtaining the bladder volume estimate.
Bladder Scanner AI will be made available to select users in the coming weeks. This feedback will help us continue to improve the user experience and the integration of this feature into clinical practice.
